Dr Madhu Sasidhar is the President and CEO of Apollo Hospitals. Dr Sasidhar is a practicing physician with US board certifications in internal medicine, pulmonary, and critical care medicine.

He completed his medical education at JIPMER, Pondicherry. Following a residency in Internal Medicine at St Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital in New York City, he completed fellowships in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Yale University, New Haven, USA. He received his Global Executive Masters in Business Administration from INSEAD, Fontainebleau, France.

Dr Sasidhar served as President of Cleveland Clinic Tradition Hospital. Before that, he was the Chief Medical Officer at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi and Enterprise Section Head for Respiratory Care for the Cleveland Clinic Health System.

Dr Sasidhar has published numerous book chapters, journal and peer-reviewed articles, abstracts, and presentations and has been invited to speak on various topics at many industry events. He holds a patent through Cleveland Clinic Innovations for a technology he invented that was subsequently commercialized. Dr Sasidhar is also a self-taught computer programmer with expertise in big data platforms.
